  4. Utah manufacturer e-waste take-back programs (DEQ list)State program · UtahOpen to everyoneConditions applyCost not listed
    How it works

Manufacturers that sell consumer electronics in Utah must report their eligible take-back programs to the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control each year, and DEQ publishes the list by brand. Most are mail-back programs or collection sites (for example some retail stores and landfills). Which option you can use depends on the brand. The state law does not require these programs to be free and does not ban electronics from the trash.

    Cost & rules
    • Cell phones, tablets, monitors and other consumer electronics are among the devices DEQ says these programs may recycle.
    • Look up the brand on the DEQ list. Most programs are mail-back or a drop-off collection site, and which one you can use depends on the manufacturer. DEQ does not say whether they charge.
