    How it works

Mauldin Public Works (864-289-8904) collects garbage in green city cans and recycling in blue city carts, and picks up bulky items case by case on request. Tires, electronics, batteries and liquid paint are prohibited in the trash; the city points residents to the Simpsonville Residential Waste center (517 Hipps Road) or Twin Chimneys Landfill.

    Cost & rules
    • Only paint containers with all paint dried out; no liquid paint.

Before you go

  1. Note whether it’s latex (water-based) or oil-based; programs often treat them differently.
  2. Keep paint in its original, labelled, closed container.
  3. Ask about quantity limits per visit.
