    How it works

Under the City of Hudson's Preferred Hauler Program, Republic Services customers can put one bulk item a week at the curb, including sofas, chairs, mattresses and box springs. Standard service (trash, yard waste, bulk items and single-stream recycling) is $77.99 per quarter as of 4/1/2026. Sign up with Republic at 800-247-3644. Residents may instead hire another city-permitted hauler.

Before you go

  1. Check whether it’s clean and intact enough to donate; many charities turn down stains, tears or pet damage.
  2. Ask whether sectional pieces or a sleeper sofa are priced separately.
  3. Confirm the fee, and whether you bring it in or schedule a pickup.
