    How it works

Annual spring residential curbside cleanup by the City of Jamestown (2026: May 11–16, by city quadrant). Basic household items such as furniture and mattresses, plus small-scale building debris, go at the curb by 7 a.m. in neat, separate piles. Not accepted: appliances, electronics (TVs, computers, microwaves), tires, lead-acid batteries, paint and solvents, cardboard, yard waste and household garbage. During Cleanup Week the City Baler/Landfill takes up to 500 pounds per household at no charge.

    Cost & rules
    • Place in neat, separate piles of similar materials by 7 a.m. on your area's cleanup day.

Before you go

  1. Count each piece separately: mattress, box spring and topper can be priced differently.
  2. Check for moisture, mold or bed bugs; many recyclers refuse damaged bedding.
  3. Confirm per-piece pricing and whether wrapping or an appointment is required.
