    How it works

Village transfer station at 7480 Main St NW, Los Lunas, NM 87031 (about four miles west of I-25 on NM 6; the Census geocoder could not match the address, so it is recorded as a program). Takes white goods, metals, TVs, electronics, paint, tires, car batteries, furniture, mattresses and cardboard.

    Cost & rules
    • Bring a valid NM driver license and a current Village water bill; call ahead.
    • Car batteries only (unlimited).

Before you go

  1. Tape the terminals of lithium and rechargeable batteries before transport.
  2. Keep damaged, swollen or leaking batteries separate and tell the operator.
  3. Ask which battery types are accepted; car batteries often go somewhere different.
