Through December 2026 Republic Services takes one small bulky item a month (first full week) and larger items by paid special pickup; from January 1, 2027 GFL takes up to three bulk items a month, including furniture. Some homes associations arrange their own service.

    Cost & rules
    • Through 2026: one small item (under 2x2 ft, under 45 lb) per month; larger pieces by special pickup from Republic, which may charge. From January 2027: up to three bulk items a month with GFL.

  1. Check whether it’s in good enough condition to donate or resell.
