Groot, under contract with the Village of Niles, collects mattresses with weekly service and unlimited bulk items (couches, chairs, dressers, mattresses and box springs) without charge; the Village asks residents to put out one item a week and call Groot (800-244-1977). White goods are collected on Tuesdays by appointment. Curbside recycling, including corrugated cardboard, is free for households with Village refuse service.
