    How it works

LRS, under contract with the Village, takes one bulky item a week free on the unlimited program (3 stickers per item on limited plans), collects appliances curbside for $10 each when scheduled, and runs a free once-a-year July curbside e-waste collection (one TV or monitor plus five smaller items). LRS: 847-381-9300.

    Cost & rules
    • Unlimited program: one bulky item free per service day; limited and senior limited programs need 3 stickers per bulky item.
    • Before you go: Seal mattresses and box springs in a plastic mattress cover taped shut.

Before you go

  1. Count each piece separately: mattress, box spring and topper can be priced differently.
  2. Check for moisture, mold or bed bugs; many recyclers refuse damaged bedding.
  3. Confirm per-piece pricing and whether wrapping or an appointment is required.
