    How it works

Each year over two weeks in late April/early May (April 26-30 south side and May 3-7 north side in 2027) the City of Rehoboth Beach picks up bulky items from residents' curbs free of charge: appliances (refrigerant must be recovered first), e-waste such as TVs and monitors, household batteries, furniture and mattresses, up to 5 tires without rims, and junk lumber. Hazardous waste such as paint is not accepted. At other times residents can book a special bulk pickup for a minimum $75 (302-227-6181 ext. 123).

    Cost & rules
    • Only during the annual spring pickup (late April/early May).
    • City residents only.
    • Before you go: Put items at the curb no more than 24 hours before your scheduled pickup.

Before you go

  1. Count each piece separately: mattress, box spring and topper can be priced differently.
  2. Check for moisture, mold or bed bugs; many recyclers refuse damaged bedding.
  3. Confirm per-piece pricing and whether wrapping or an appointment is required.
