City of Nome landfill at 3.0 mile Beam Road. Free residential dumping on Saturdays (summer 9 a.m.–3 p.m., winter 11 a.m.–3 p.m.); commercial Monday and Wednesday in summer. Residents sort metal, e-waste, cardboard and other items; refrigerators and freezers with CFCs are $50 each. Lead-acid batteries and paint are not accepted.
