Republic Services, under contract with the City of Madison, collects yard debris and large items at the curb on a weekly schedule: couches, tables and chairs, mattresses, refrigerators, washers, dryers and flattened cardboard, up to 5 cubic yards per household per week. Count each piece separately: mattress, box spring and topper can be priced differently.
Check for moisture, mold or bed bugs; many recyclers refuse damaged bedding.
Confirm per-piece pricing and whether wrapping or an appointment is required.
